The Sorcery of Nachttoter
Michael Ford
Mr. Ford is known for his work as a musician in the ritualistic-experimental bands Psychonaut and Valefor, releasing several albums and other recordings. Michael uses his musick as a tool of initiation, Magickial Art and "Sigils of Sound". Also a writer, Michael Ford has written the Grimoire "The Book of the Witch Moon", in which the introduction was written by Chaos Magic founder Peter Carroll. Michael relies heavily on the interplay of text with images, similar in the way that Austin Spare worked. Ford's book was illustrated by Elda Isela Ford, his wife and magical partner. Michael Ford's art is a concept of visual stills, from which they were described to be as talismans or sigils, his concept of Magickial presentation. The images which include a number of Spare and Crowley, are intended to be gateways towards initiation in the 93 current, Thelema itself. Mr. Ford may be contacted at Nachttoter@aol.com and his web site for his musick projects are at: www.infernalhorde.com/psychonaut Michael has also launched several other web sites, including an online gallery and information source on Austin Osman Spare (http://travel.to/zos) and a Kenneth Anger tribute site.

Signed prints available A Magickal tribute to John Whiteside Parsons. This image was produced as a talisman for those who sought the essence of what Parsons called "The Witchcraft" and the "Oath of the Antichrist". This is, the focus of individual freedom and the Law of Thelema. This image was created to be as a gateway to the essence of Belarion Armiluss Al Dajjal Antichrist, the joy and rapture of Hadit and Nuit.Color Prints available, signed by artist.

The two, Jack and Cameron, are balanced by their sigils in appropiate corners. Very similar to the "As Above, so Below" maxim. The Sigil of the Beast and the Star of Babalon.Color Prints available, signed by artist.

"This is an very magickal image to me personally as it represents the very core of what Thelema is, Force & Fire. The use of red is not based within a negative aspect, but one of Fire and movement, ie. change. This is from the very famous photo of Aleister Crowley with his Abramelin Tome (it is not in view once I did my work on it!). This image is also a part of the series, "ZAX" which another is exhibited here. The crossing of the Abyss, through the Enochian ZAX may be of interest here due to the positive element of Ascension. The Sigil of the Beast 666 acts as a talisman of awakening, to answer the call of the spirit of fire, of Horus." Prints are available, signed by the artist.Color Prints available, signed by artist.

Part Two in the series of Aleister Crowley's ZAX exploration; the Crossing of the Abyss. The Astral Plane is the scene of this image, Perdurabo within the circle of Evocation, seeking to invoke the essence of Choronzon. Missing is Neuberg but in his place is the Goetic Spirits/Daemons Gaap and Gremory, presiding over the ceremony. The sentence "I am everything .. I am Nothing" is the statement of Choronzon as it becomes the self, the wire of madness and failure. This is an artistic image and statement of this invocation. ZAX is full circle and the descending hierarchy stands at the wish of the magician who reaches the other side.

A variation of Austin Osman Spare embodying the spirit of Mars, Sex Magick and the masculine energy of the self in a creative process. The sigils from Spare's hand signify the desire and Will of which this should be obtained. "Stealing the Fire from Heaven" indeed.

The Divine Artist and Elementals by Austin Osman Spare

The presentation of Austin Osman Spare and his elementals, the union of the astral verses the material. This is the free spirit form of the arena of anon. Spare utilized art with sorcery to create elementals and such which exist on the astral plane, many of which I tend to suspect still exist beyond his death in 1956. The use of Sentient Symbols to produce subconscious automata is accessible via his art.

Casting the Shadow by Michael Ford

Austin Osman Spare in 1913, around the time of when "The Book of Pleasure" was issued. This photograph is quite an inspiration for me, one of the most striking images of AOS around. This design was the basis of the message given. An elemental daemon emerges from the astral, from which this still was designed. Zos holds the Cup and the sign of Zos and Kia, the Hand and Eye are given. This is the shadow of Spare's magical practice, the foundation of the Zos Kia Cultus.
