Austin Osman Spare 2
Spare is, of course, perhaps the most important occult artist of the Twentieth Century. It has been suggested that this portrait was executed at the request of Kenneth and Steffi Grant.. Perhaps it can be seen as an artifact of the Grants' special location in the geography of modern occultism. Having known both they are a bridge between the two.

Beresford Egan
This artist provided Crowley with the striking dustwrapper design for his novel Moonchild. In the 1930's he sported hair dyed bright green so something of an eccentric. His art employed erotic and diabolic themes.
