Seth-pa-kharad.

16ins x 12ins
This picture portrays the Formula of the Sorcerer as the Dual or Janus-headed Opposer. The image utilises a sigillic eidolon for the the Aegyptian God-form of 'Seth the Child' as an embodiment for the magical process of the Alchymical Vessel, a Mystery treated fully in 'The Dragon-book of Essex'. The god-form embodies the Sorcerer's self-projection as 'the body of deifed sexualities', linking birth and death, Alpha and Omega.

Sidereal Gate opened by Dryadic Congress

8ins x 6ins
Here is portrayed the Sorcerous Formula of the Star-thicket'd Woodwose, wherein the practitioner immerses himself in a potent state of nostalgic ambiences in order to gain linkage with dryadic sentience and, in such congress of being, a Gate is opened for the Ingression of Sidereal Gnosis. Alone at dusk, when all the world seems still, one stands against an ancient and gnarled tree. Stripping mind of self-entity, consciousness pervades and climbs, twining and twisting through roots, trunk and boughs, the Dryad's flesh becomes the Self of the Mage in extension. The Dryad looms and rushes into man, permeating the human flesh, so that limbs and boughs self-entify anew and birth the Woodwose. One is held, silhouetted against the falling night. The shades of gathering dusk coalesce in a dance of Familiars and as one draw out this Re-membering Body and make Self sky-expansive. In the spaces between the limbs of this Spirit stars twinkle and signal the sky's opening. Death-Way beyond the Liminality of Sleep

8ins x 6ins £150 (SOLD)
At the Threshold of Sleep, one drifts in the Hypnogogic Realms. The Self-knowing here pause and reflect on the birthing of Dreams. One is set at the crossroads of all possible re-direction of consciousness. Calling the Ancestral Shades to open a road for dreaming, a way emerges: the Death-Way beyond the Liminality of Sleep.

Angelick Famulus

12ins x 8ins
Here is portrayed a magical rite in which a Famulus or attendant spirit is evoked to visible form as an Angelick Overseer of One's Path. Two fetish-urns or magical vessels are half-buried in the earth, often that of a chosen ancestral grave. One is the vessel for the Familar in its bestial atavism, the other is consecrated to the Familiar in its Seraphic form. In unison both forms are called forth. The atavistic form is used to both bind and give power - literal 'animation' - to the latter. The angelick sentience serves to ennoble the atavistic state and endow the bestial with higher articulation. The process is signified by the black and white candles, and is sigillised in the book in the right-hand corner. The hand-signs of the angel show the bodily corollaries to the ritual. Other sigils embody the diverse components of the practice.

The Four Formulae of Ingress

8ins x 5ins
The four formulae of Ingress are written around the picture like four sentinels at a single gate. The arrangement of these fomulae is derived from dreaming. One is advised to see the relevant formulae in 'The Azoetia', where the full ritual context is explicated.
The picture itself shows the energetic flux of the magical current itself, transecting and fleshing in the angles of pure mind. The lines express the delineation of thoughts and states of knowledge. Through ritual the current is focused, translated via knowledge, mental directivity, emotive states, and active embodiment. The energetic flux thus fleshes as the organic and is self-entified in the ritualist. This results in trance-possession and direct apprehension of the current's sentience.

Emergence of the Feather'd Ka of I

This image shows lines of cognition in oblique and willful disconjunction. One utilises oppositional feelings, thoughts, attitudes, moral perspectives, off-beats of musick and dance, stillness and motion.... all to inaugurate internal crisis. Contradictions are sustained by Will and held in knowing paradox. Mind opens in abreaction to its limitations. This picture shows an example of the formula in application. Human sentience is suspended and from the silence of the immemorial flesh comes the Sigillically Evoked: the Night-winged Famulus.
This may be deemed an apposite image to the ongoing work of the Zos Kia Cultus, the magico-aesthetic cult established by A.O.Spare and Kenneth Grant. The most well-known spirit-familiar of the ZKC is called 'Black Eagle' (or sometimes Blue Eagle). During the latter years of his life Spare, together with Kenneth and Steffi Grant, performed a ritual in which this patron spirit was bound into the talismanic sigil of the ZKC. This matter was revealed during personal correspondence with K. Grant circa 1994, during which the ongoing work of the ZKC was discussed. In 1995 a new phase of the ritual was incepted by initiates of the Crooked Path. Its results and energetic current may be seen today, flourishing in the work of living magical artists.

The Roots Beneath

8ins x 6ins
Here is portrayed the Formula of Dryadic Congress in greater depth. The sensorial body has swept down into the caverns and root-roads of entity. The trans-organic flux of self limbs through the darkness in the Aat of Earth and configures itself as a spirit-form, an Old One below the sentience of the Living.

Encircling the Familiar

8ins x 6ins
The delineations of mental states, the diverse analogical aspects of a ritual's sentience, here fixate and ensorcel an intrusive spirit, binding it as a Familiar. The flux from energetic to organic to atavistic state is portrayed between the poles of Summoner and Summoned. The flux and the duality resolve in the point of alignment where both eclipse the Other and unitively self-entify.

Protraction of Sexualities

8ins x 6ins
The parallelisms of magical cognition, that is, the analogical eqivalents of thought, materia magica, emotion, and so forth, are co-located in ritual. We bring together sigillae, images, colours, perfumes, feelings, words, - all of one nature, but differing forms. This co-location creates the path linking state to state. In the ritual's midst the vorticity of nature wells forth and erupts outward with the entifying power of the Immemorial Flesh. All this is the protraction of the sexualities of I.

Ingression of Famulus

8ins x 6ins
The Cup of Love receives the Ensigilled Moon's elixir: the Familiar begins to approach the perfume of the Eucharist. The orgia floods the sigillic vehicula of translative state and linear form becomes feeling beomes cognition becomes energia. Into this vorticity the soul of the Summoned falls; its eyes open and into the mind of man a new self dawns; the familiar's conscious awakes.... as one's self. Thus are new abilites acquired by the hand and eye.

Graph of Magical Process

8ins x 6ins
This important picture articulates the components of praxis and sorcerous mentation. The ritual, the cognitive foci and the hylic organic basis are depicted. Sigillic lines show connection and the means of translation from ritual segment to ritual segment, and from state to state. Mental defintion is juxtaposed by automatic expression of line and curve, the whole melding to encode the actialities of ritual. The picture is autotelic; it depicts the process of its depiction.

Ancestral Congress

12ins x 8ins
This picture shows the ritual of ancestral communion and discourse. The opened book ahows the sigil known as 'The Key', being a dream-derived sign for the Corpse-king Mahazhael, the Sovereign Witch-father also known by the name 'Apethiui'. The candlesticks are prototypical plants adorned with feathers and bones to form fetish-poles: means to attract the spirits and to instill the mystique of occult ritualism into the practitioner. This is self-enchantment, a process in which all obsessiveness is brought into direct and useful application. The half-buried vessel is the receptacle for all orgia and mumia, and from its opened mouth the black flames and energetic lightnings leap and coalesce. Above the light of the candle the hylic corpus assembles and the spirit takes form to the eye. The sigils of the process are shown in the right border. This picture depicts a ritual performed in order to call forth an Ancestral Shade of Witchblood.

Magical Square and Evocation for the Holocrypticon

16ins x 12ins
This image shows an array of magical techniques in juxtaposition. A magical square is shown as a talismanic 'key'. In formal ritual usage such squares manifest as three-dimensionsal cubes, gridded with light, in which the presiding spirits move and speak. Here the projection of the square into the cube is shown, with the angles of the grid equated with the entire sorcerer's alphabet of the Azoetic corpus. The cipher is directed via the arrow of will and, through the agency of deified sexualities, serves as the translative medium for the spirits of the square.
It is of note to remark that, like the parameters of a magical square, the bordering lines of these pictures operate exactly like the perimeter of the formal ritual magical circle: to contain, to focus and to bind the spirits and the mage in a field of operative affinities.
This present picture is a talisman for an unpublished magical text by Alogos, called 'The Holocrypticon'. At present this text exists as a whole in dream and partially in the form of single reified manuscripts.

The Grimoire of the Golden Toad - Initiatic Edition

Shown here is the author's personal copy of "ONE: The Grimoire of the Golden Toad". This particular copy is hand-bound in full black calfskin with an inset toad's head on the front cover and toadskin panelling on the back. Two further copies in this form were made. These remain in the private collections of fellow magical brethren. The three initiatic copies are consecrated to the Thrice-Great Clan of Azha-Qayin: the threefold wisdom of Jabal, Jubal, and Tubal-cain.
This book is a magical grammar detailing the solitary initiation ritual of the Toad-witch. Xoanon, the publishers of the Cultus Sabbati, issued a very special limited edition of 77 copies of this book, each hand-bound in plain black mock-leather covers. Each copy was accompanied by a hand-made talisman in toadskin, together with a sigillic text for the 'inner recension' of the grimoire's teachings and materials relating to the Clan of Azha-Qayin.
Surrounding the book are snake-vertebrae strung into rosaries. Also pictured is a magical ring bearing the ensignia of the Crooked Path, and a silver amulet in the form known as the 'Serpent-Cross'.
